Are you a photographer who is looking for a higher return on your stock images?

If you have been taking photos for a while and you built up a library of images, you may be thinking about stock photography. It is certainly no way to get rich (apart from one or two who have succeeded) but it could generate significant income if you are prepared to put in the work and are patient.

However, there are many stock libraries  and agencies out there. They are not all the same either, in the way they treat you the photographer. There are many microstock agencies out there and your royalties will be quite modest. They rely on selling image usage cheaply but more often (in theory). Others will be more traditional and have a portfolio of clients who will pay a higher usage fee and so you will earn more for each usage. However, as they are more well established you will be a small fish in a large ocean. They will be expecting you to supply images in their hundreds if not thousands.

There is another type of stock library and they are one that will pay a larger royalty to you the photographer. Normally you would expect about 40-50% of the usage fee as your share. The rest goes to the library for their overheads and profit margin. With Picfair your royalties are basically set by you, not the library. You set the royalty you want then they add 20% onto that plus a small amount on top for processing costs. Here is a graphic illustrating how this works.

In addition, Picfair has another plus in that by sharing Picfair with your social media contacts (and in emails too) you will earn royalties via their referral scheme.

So, why not sign up now and start uploading your images at the price you want!
